Which lenders accept your new-build warranty?
Around a fifth of new-builds use a non-NHBC warranty — and some buyers only find out their lender won't accept it once they're close to exchange. Select your provider and see which of the lenders we track publish acceptance of it, based on criteria and the UK Finance Lenders' Handbook verified 2026-07-13.
This is an information tool, not advice: it doesn't give a recommendation or a guarantee any lender will accept your warranty. Absence from a lender's published list means "not published", never "rejected".
Worked example: LABC (LABC Warranty / Hallmark Scheme)
LABC is one of the most common non-NHBC structural warranties — used widely by smaller and regional developers.
15 of 17 lenders we track publish acceptance of LABC. Only 2 — HSBC, Darlington BS— don't appear on a published list, which means "not confirmed", not "declined": get written confirmation before you rely on it.

A less common provider: ICW
ICW (International Conformity Certification) is accepted by some but not all of the panel — a useful contrast to LABC.
Only 12 of the 17 lenders we track publish acceptance of ICW — Halifax, Nationwide, Barclays, Santander, Accord, Skipton, Perenna, Virgin Money, Leeds BS, Coventry BS, TSB, Newcastle BS. That's a materially smaller panel than LABC's, which is exactly why it's worth checking your specific provider before you commit to a plot, not assuming any warranty is treated the same way.

FAQ
Does "not published" mean the lender will decline my warranty?
No — it means we found no explicit statement either way in that lender's public criteria. Some lenders publish a broad list, others publish nothing and assess case by case against the UK Finance Lenders' Handbook instead. Always get written confirmation from the lender or your broker before relying on it.
What if my developer's warranty isn't on this list at all?
Ask whether a Professional Consultant's Certificate (PCC) is available as a fallback — most lenders on our panel accept one, though usually with restrictions on development size or property type (some explicitly exclude flats). Check the PCC row in the tool above for the lender you're considering.
